let's dress for the occasion!

hello lovies,

I am so very excited to have Nicole from Young Love guest blogging here on TOP KNOT today. If you haven't met Nicole yet, she's a beautiful artist from the Okanagan currently studying in LA. She has killer style, a creative soul, and even her own handmade jewelry shop on Etsy. I absolutely love her style because it's so real. She wears classic, comfy, and chic pieces. She always looks great without looking too 'put together'. Which is something I truly admire.

Now that you're drooling over dessert, we're going to give you some tips on what to wear on this lovey dovey day.

Valentine's Day; What to Eat & What to Wear, Part 2: Inspiration by Nicole from Young Love

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching I wanted to share a Valentine’s wardrobe tip with you guys. I’ve only ever had a “real” Valentine once in my life, but I’ve always had a special love for Valentine’s day and I like to think of it as a day to not only celebrate couple love, but love in general. With that in mind, on Valentine’s day you should wear what you love.

There can be a lot of pressure on Valentine’s Day to look perfect and to have a perfect night. But none of the matters if you’re spending it with someone you love. Instead of getting stressed out trying to find the right dress for the perfect evening, think about what you’ve already got in your closet. I think we all have that one item that no matter what you’re doing or where you’re going, makes you feel like you can conquer the world. For your Valentine’s date, wear that thing you truly love, that makes you feel beautiful. Me, I love stripes, maxi skirts, these Sam Edelman Boots, and my handmade jewelry. If you wear what you love, you will feel really great about yourself and the person you are with will pick up on that. A little bit of lipstick doesn’t hurt, either.
